When installing the USB cable to your computer, Windows will actually install the USB modem as you run the USB Installation Application
Initial Set-up
Currently only certain Windows platforms support the iDEN USB cable. iDEN USB connections are supported by the following platforms:
Windows 98 Second Edition
Windows ME
Windows 2000 Professional
Windows XP
(iDEN USB connections are not currently supported by Mac). All other Windows platforms do not support the iDEN USB connections).
To check which version of Windows you are running, Right-click (using your mouse) the "My Computer" icon on your desktop and select "Properties" from the menu. The version of Windows should be listed under System.
Installation
Before you start using the USB cable, you must install the software drivers that support the cable. DO NOT connect the cable to your PC until instructed. Failure to do so may cause the USB cable to install incorrectly.
Please follow these instructions before connecting the cable:
- Go to the iDEN support site and download the USB Installation Application to your desktop.
- Once it is downloaded, double click on the USB installation icon to start the installation process.
- Follow the installation instructions.
- When prompted by the application, power on your phone and connect it to the USB cable and then connect the USB cable to the PC.
- The computer will now install the USB drivers.
- Once the installation is complete, you can now use the USB cable with your software application.
(If you try to install the software on a PC other than the listed Windows application, you may receive an error message that the software is not supported).
