Data transmission rate is much faster than a standard serial cable. Also USB offers a "plug and play" installation that does not require your PC to be restarted in order for the cable to operate. The following iDEN phones support USB connections: i90c, i95cl, i60c, i80s, i88s, i58sr, i55sr, i50sx, i30sx, i35s, i205, i305, i530, i730/i733/ i736 and future iDEN model phones.


Arrow Which iDEN Software/Data applications support the iDEN USB cable connection?

The following iDEN Software applications currently operate with the iDEN USB cable:

Arrow Is there specific software that I must download in order to properly install the USB drivers?

Most of the latest versions of iDEN software (CompanionPro, iDEN Packet Data, iDEN Update, iDEN Mobile Software) contain the drivers for USB built into the application. Motorola iDEN Support recommends that you install the to ensure the USB cable properly installs.


Arrow Are there different versions of the iDEN USB cable?

For the i85s, i50sx, i55sr, i58s, i60c, i80s, i88s, i95cl, i35s, i30sx and i90c model phones there are two USB cable options:

USB cable part number-NNTN4049

USB cable part number-NNTN4007 (includes charging port)

For the i205, i305, i530, i730/i733/i736 model phones there is only one:

USB cable part number- NKN6559
